THE CITY _ - ' A skipping piece

December 2017

The research on the unit of skipping is still in progress while I am heading towards my graduation from SNDO. For the first graduation production in March 2018, I will be focusing on the creation of a performance that unfolds the potential of skipping at its core. The City is a project that attempts to create a systemic universe that blinks in existence, with the use of continuous skipping. DanceWEB
DanceWEB 2017

July - August 2017

I'm very happy to announce that I was selected to be part of the scholarship program "DanceWEB" of the Impulstanz festival in Vienna. From the 12th of July till August 16th I will be immerged in a huge variety of workshops, performances, encounters and exchanges. My participation would not be possible without the generous support of OUTSET Greece that agreed to cover the last part of the scholarship. Time for some serious fun.
Skipping Practice
The SKIPPING practice

May - July  2017

After the completion of "The Idle Wish", my interest focused on the action of skipping.
A movement that was emerging in my previous works but I never spend time to look closely. Looking forward to my graduation work in March 2018, I have already started with the research on the practice of continuous skipping. Two sketch performances took place in June at SNDO Friday Afternoon with Ahmed El Ghendy and at Centre National de la Danse in Paris, during Camping, with Andreas Haglund. A small open workshop on skipping happened as well during the Camping meeting. You can watch both try-outs at the Sketches page.
